Understanding Cone 6 – NCECA 2018

On Mar 15, 2018 I gave my first ever NCECA talk, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I was part of a panel discussion called Glazes Without Borders.

My talk, titled “Understanding Cone 6” presents the research I did on how varied levels of silica, alumina and flux affect the fired appearance, melting temperature and thermal expansion of glazes fired to cone 6.
